Since August 2023, we've been working very hard to secure the strongest possible Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for all grad workers at UMass Dartmouth!

Dear fantastic Graduate Student Employees at UMass Dartmouth,
Your union's Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) Team has been working very hard to secure the strongest possible CBA for all UMassD graduate student employees!

If you have any ideas or suggestions for your CBA Team, please let us know by emailing us or filling out the anonymous Feedback Form below. We want to hear every voice, and your input shapes the bargaining priorities.
Also, your CBA Team always welcomes additional teammates! We greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide with writing your CBA, attending negotiations in person, planning union events, and connecting with members. If you are interested in learning more, please email us.

October 2nd 2024, Bargaining Session #8:
UMassD presented their proposal
GSU's draft proposal is still at Version 47 (still 75 pages)
September 27th 2024:
GSU emailed UMassD with our updated proposal
GSU's draft proposal is up to Version 47 (75 pages)
September 9th 2024, Bargaining Session #7:
UMassD asked questions about GSU's proposal, didn't present anything
GSU's draft proposal is up to Version 44 (still 40 pages)
August 5th 2024:
GSU emailed UMassD with explanations and supporting information about our proposal
July 30th 2024, Bargaining Session #6:
GSU presented our updated proposal of mandatory topics only

June 10th 2024, Bargaining Session #5:
UMassD rejected GSU's entire proposal, presented their updated proposal

November 15th 2023:
We had our very first negotiation session with the university. It begins. And they actually met with us, instead of just ignoring us like they always used to do!!! This was the first time in over 8 years that we actually met with university administrators.
GSU signed UMassD's Ground Rules to govern the negotiations
August 14th 2023: We began drafting our first Collective Bargaining Agreement with the university.
